Virtual counselling across Ontario
Our Heart & Purpose
Hope & Healing Integrative Mental Health Group was created from a simple belief: people deserve care that feels safe, human, and respectful — especially when they are hurting.

Many people come to counselling carrying experiences that have shaped how they see themselves, their relationships, and the world around them.
Trauma, loss, chronic stress, and emotional pain don’t always show up as a single event. Often, they live quietly in the body, the nervous system, and everyday patterns of coping.

Our work is rooted in helping people feel less alone with what they carry, and supported as they move toward healing at their own pace.
How We Work
We are a trauma-informed counselling practice, which means safety, consent, and collaboration guide everything we do. Therapy here is not about pushing, fixing, or rushing change. It’s about understanding, support, and creating space for healing to unfold in a way that feels manageable and grounded.

Our therapists draw from evidence-based approaches while remaining deeply attuned to the emotional and relational experience of each client. We recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and we work together to find what feels most supportive for you.

Sessions are offered virtually across Ontario, making care more accessible and flexible for individuals, couples, and families.

Our practice provides virtual psychotherapy and counselling services to children, adolescents, and adults across Ontario.
Our Values
Integrity
Our work is grounded in neuroscience, attachment research, polyvagal theory, and evidence-based psychotherapy. We are committed to ethical, thoughtful care that respects both science and the complexity of human experience
Connection
Healing happens in relationship. The therapeutic connection is central to meaningful change — offering safety, trust, and a space where growth can unfold through genuine human connection
Understanding & Meaning
We believe healing is supported by understanding — of the nervous system, emotional patterns, lived experiences, and the deeper meanings people carry. Therapy may include learning about the mind–body connection while also honoring the personal, relational, and spiritual dimensions of being human
Respect
This is your space. Your experiences, values, beliefs, and pace are always respected. Care is collaborative, non-directive, and guided by empathy, curiosity, and consent
Meet the Founder

Alexis Mabon, RSW, MSW
Hope & Healing Integrative Mental Health Group was founded and is led by Alexis, a Registered Social Worker and clinical leader with a deep commitment to trauma-informed, relational care.

Alexis holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and has training in traumatic stress, neuroscience, our autonomic nervous system, and early childhood attachment.
Her work is grounded in understanding how stress and trauma shape the body, emotions, and relationships — and how healing happens through safety, connection, and compassionate, evidence-informed care.
Alongside her clinical training, Alexis brings a deep, lived understanding of how overwhelming stress and pain can impact a person’s sense of safety, worth, and connection.
Her approach is warm, grounded, and relational. Rather than positioning herself as an expert over you, Alexis works collaboratively — creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment.
Together, the focus is on helping you slow things down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and gently begin to reconnect with yourself in a way that feels safe and sustainable.
A Group Practice Model
Hope & Healing Integrative Mental Health Group is a growing group practice.
This means clients have access to a team of therapists with diverse training, perspectives, and areas of focus — while still receiving care that feels personal and connected.
We take time to thoughtfully match clients with therapists based on their needs, preferences, and goals.
This helps ensure therapy feels like a good fit from the start and remains supportive as needs evolve.

Care That Respects Your Values
Therapy can also make space for meaning, spirituality, and faith when this is part of your experience.
This is optional and guided by you. Spirituality or faith is never assumed or required, and therapy remains grounded in emotional and psychological support.
Your values, beliefs, questions, and uncertainty are held with respect — or left out entirely, depending on what feels right for you.
