Carrie McFadyen

MSW, RSW | ASIST Trainer

Carrie brings warmth, authenticity, and compassion to her work, creating a space where people feel heard, understood, and valued. She believes that every person has a unique story and that healing begins with genuine connection, curiosity, and respect. Her approach is holistic, strengths-based, and centered on meeting people where they are, recognizing that each individual's journey is different.

Throughout her career, Carrie has supported individuals and families through some of life's most vulnerable moments. Her experience includes perinatal, NICU, and pediatric healthcare, as well as supporting those living with serious illness, grief, loss, caregiving responsibilities, and major life transitions. She is committed to creating a compassionate and supportive space where people feel empowered to navigate challenges and move forward in ways that are meaningful to them.

Carrie believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. She draws from a variety of evidence-informed approaches and tailors her work to the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each person she supports. Her training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Single Session Therapy, ITATM, ASIST, and palliative care, among many other professional development opportunities that inform her practice.

Known for her warm and approachable nature, Carrie strives to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore challenges, build on their strengths, and discover their own resilience. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside people as they navigate life's complexities and work toward greater well-being.
