Debbie McDonald

MSW, RSW

Debbie is a Registered Social Worker with over 26 years of experience, committed to creating a therapeutic space where people feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported. She brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to her work, meeting each person where they are and walking alongside them at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.

She works with children, youth, and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, and life stressors. She has extensive experience supporting individuals and families impacted by loss, family disruption, and complex life experiences.

She is especially passionate about working with children and adolescents—helping them make sense of their world, build language for big emotions, strengthen identity and self-esteem, and develop healthier ways of coping, communicating, and connecting with others at home, at school, and in their relationships.

Her approach is attachment-focused, strength-based, and trauma-informed. She views therapy as a collaborative process of gently exploring patterns, building insight, and developing practical tools that support stability, confidence, and meaningful connection.

She strives to create a calm, grounded, and approachable environment where it feels safe to be yourself and take things one step at a time.
